Pro Faith, Pro-Family Rep. Vance McAllister Caught Cheating

Freshman House Representative Vance McAllister from Louisiana, who won his seat in a special election with the help of endorsements from Phil and Willie Robertson of Duck Dynasty, has admitted to having adulterous romantic contact with one of his Congressional aids.

Actually, it was hard to deny. McAllister was caught on tape kissing his aide, Melissa Peacock, for about thirty seconds. Monday, he admitted to the encounter and issued a typical apology:

There’s no doubt I’ve fallen short and I’m asking for forgiveness. I’m asking for forgiveness from God, my wife, my kids, my staff, and my constituents who elected me to serve. Trust is something I know has to be earned whether your a husband, a father, or a congressman. I promise to do everything I can to earn back the trust of everyone I’ve disappointed.

From day one, I’ve always tried to be an honest man. I ran for congress to make a difference and not to just be another politician. I don’t want to make a political statement on this, I would just simply like to say that I’m very sorry for what I’ve done.

Yes. The problem is that you can’t make any political statement ever again, Mr. McAllister. Resign. Step down. Go make things right with your wife and kids. But don’t embarrass the good people who elected you by pretending you’re a different kind of politician anymore. If anything, you are worse than the transparent lechers we expect to be caught with whores and cocaine. You promised to be something different. You ran a campaign based on being righteous. But your wife and your family were just political tools, apparently. And every person who voted for you because of Duck Dynasty’s endorsement was duped. I am so tired of this happening over and over again.

Let me give Christian leaders a piece of advice: Don’t even try to put yourself in a position of leadership if you have major sin problems in your life. And if they arise in your life after you are in leadership, don’t wait to get found out. Just go ahead and tell all in your resignation letter.

  1. Christian hypocrisy is nothing new. What makes this case different is the Christian man was actually cheating with a woman. Usually GOP sex scandals are gay!

    • That’s not the norm, for Christian conservatives busted cheating. I have heard of about 3 incidents where they were “on the down low”. At any rate, none of it is acceptable; and I am in no way defending any of it. Take it for what it’s worth.

      • 3??? Remember anti-gay activist Pastor Eddie Long being caught having sexual relations with men?

Or Pastor Ted Haggard who like gay hookers & crystal meth?

George Rekers, a man who helped start one of the most powerful anti-gay lobbying groups in the US got his male hookers from rentboy.com!

Alabama Attorney General Troy King Known for his vocal opposition to gay rights and for his attempt to outlaw sex toys, King was caught by his wife while having sex with a local homecoming King!!!

Washington State Representative Richard Curtis has an anti-gay rights voting record he voted against domestic partnerships for gays and opposed a bill prohibiting discrimination based on sexual orientation. Curtis offered a gay hooker $1,000 to have sex with him and that Curtis purchased two gay pornographic films from the hotel for them to watch in his room. Even more, this all went down with Curtis wearing a red negligee and the hooker has pictures to prove it. Pictures he only took as revenge when it was discovered that Curtis only had $200 in his wallet.!!!!

Glenn Murphy Jr., former head of the Young Republicans and one of the (former) leading Republicans of Indiana, always advocated “straight” family values and straight forward sexual orientation views. He was caught performing fellatio on another Young Republican while that man slept, without that man’s consent!!

Roy Ashburn As the story goes, after leaving a gay bar with a gay hooker Roy Ashburn was arrested for DUI.!!

Spokane Mayor Jim West has worked really hard to debilitate gay rights in his community. He supported a bill to ban gays and lesbians from working in schools, daycare centers, and some state agencies, as well as a bill that bars the state from distributing pamphlets informing people how to protect themselves from HIV/AIDS.He’s proposed that “any touching of the sexual or other intimate parts of a person” among teens be considered a criminal act. However, for 25 years, West was having sexual relationships with boys and young men from his community and was, before he was caught, frequenting the very incognito website–just to show you his ninja skills–gay.comAll under the covers, of course. He even offered to find boys he’d “befriended” jobs with the city of Spokane in exchange for sex.

Idaho Republican, Larry Craig, who served 18 years in the U.S. Senate, supported the Federal Marriage Amendment which banned marriage rights to same-sex couples and has a 0 rating from the Human Rights Campaign group. he was arrested at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport for wanting to give oral sex to an undercover cop!

Ed Schrock vehemently opposed gay-rights issues during his two terms in Congress. From same-sex marriage to allowing gays in the military, he was 100% against anything gay happening anywhere on, or near, the grid.Meanwhile, off the grid: Ed Schrock dropped out of the race for his third term in Congress after being caught on tape soliciting sex from a gay prostitute.!

Robert Allen The truth comes out in a public restroom yet again. Florida State Representative, was arrested for offering to perform fellatio to an undercover cop in the men’s room of a park for $20.

Oh, Mark Foley. A man formerly in charge of the House Caucus on Missing and Exploited Children (which dealt with legislation protecting Americans against sexual predators, and made stricter guidelines for tracking them) was caught having unlawful internet conversations via IM and email with two former pages (aged 16 and 18… oh, the irony). the list goes on & on & on…..

        • That’s a pretty great list. It is true. Wonder how long it took to do the research? Too bad you don’t have time to check out the other side of the Isle!

          • About 3 seconds. The problem is Christians are such hypocrites they cannot understand hypocrisy.

          • The greatest hypocrite, the greatest fool, the greatest antichrist, the most frequent displayer of her ignorance on this site calls herself LABobE.

        • Your point has been…well taken? LOL! There is no debate here as to the sexual preferences of “Christian conservatives” who were “BUSTED” on the down low; as I cannot, nor care to quantify how many of them out there are heterosexual. Frankly, I could care less; really. My own house, including front and backyard, are more than enough for me to care about and maintain. How about you and yours?

          • That’s why conservative Christians are obsessed with all things gay. It’s self loathing Christian closet homosexuals always leading the anti gay parade!

    • Yeah, it’s usually liberal men cheating with other liberal men (case in point, Barney Frank and LABobE). Or cheating with very homely liberal women. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an attractive liberal woman. .

  2. There was once a man, who walked this earth, about 2,000 years ago, who was perfect. This man never committed a sin and HE was crucified, hanged on a cross, in spite of the fact HE was perfect. This man said, when another man was caught sinning, “He who hath no sin, cast the first stone.” I, myself have sinned more that once, I am still weak and even though I struggle against sinning, I am still not perfect. I ask HIM every night before I go to bed to forgive me and give more strength and more determination, more faith in my struggle to live for HIM and to forgive me once again for my sins. “Anyone who saith he has no sin, lies and the truth is not in him.” My LORD AND SAVIOR, IS JESUS CHRIST, THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD.

      • Stupidity is a hell of a thing, right up beside “self righteousness” of an ridiculer of all things good.

        • Jesus’s last words on the cross were “my god my god why hast thou forsaken me” hardly seem to be the words of a man that planed it that way. It doesn’t take Sherlock Holmes to figure out there is something wrong here.

          • You’re father’s last words were “LawtonOkie, I promise not to cum in your mouth” he lied to you like you lie to everyone else!

          • here you go putting your sexual fantasies on the net again. Seems you ignored it when you were told to stop doing that the last time.

          • Perhaps it should read: “Ignorance is a hell of a thing” and boobie is steeped in stupidity and ignorance and had a relapse at birth, or was he hatched?

          • Sorry, LABobE – His last words were, (Luke 23:46) “Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit.” Having said this, He breathed His last.

When you make a statement of fact, please check your source material, if you wish to be taken seriously. If you don’t, people will disregard your posts, as well they should.

          • And we keep forgetting how much of a dumbarse you really are, but then sadly you show us every time you open your mouth. How did it feel to be proved a liar when you claimed there was no voter fraud, and then got hit with over 100 different documented cases of voter fraud in five sections of a post?

Just like here, every time you open your mouth you contradict yourself so why should anyone take the word or accept the post of a proven liar?

          • 100 documented cases of inperson voter fraud going back over 12 years. Do the math & see how big a problem it is! Who’s the dumbass, dumbass?

          • I don’t buy the story but even if it were true it STILL works out to LESS that 1 vote in a MILLION!

          • Still proves that you are a liar and as such nothing you say is going to work anymore as people now know you are a liar as anyone can see by checking here and being shown that you are a liar. http://lastresistance.com/5306/election-audit-reveals-thousands-cases-voter-fraud-north-carolina BUSTED!!

And even one case of voter fraud is too much
            And
            By the Smallest of Margins…

In 1800 – Thomas Jefferson was elected President by one vote in the
House of Representatives after a tie in the electoral
            college.

In 1824 – Andrew Jackson won the
presidential popular vote but lost by one vote in the House of
Representatives to John Quincy Adams after an electoral college
            dead-lock.

In 1845 – The U.S. Senate passed the
convention annexing Texas by two votes (27/25).

            In 1846 – President Polk’s request for a
Declaration of War against Mexico passed by one vote.

In 1867 – The Alaska purchase was
ratified in the Senate by two votes: 37-2, paving the way for future statehood.

In 1868 – President Andrew Johnson was
Impeached but not convicted because the Senate was one vote shy of the
            necessary two thirds required.

In 1876 – Samuel Tilden won the presidential
popular vote but came up one electoral vote shy and lost to Rutherford
            B. Hayes.

In 1941 – Congress amended the
active-service component of the Selective Service Act from one year to
two-and-a-half years by one vote, 203 to 202.

In 1948 – A Texas Convention voted for Lyndon B.
Johnson over ex-Governor Coke Steven in a contested Senatorial election.
In 1962 – Governors of Maine, Rhode
Island and North Dakota were elected by an average of one vote per
            precinct.
            In 1989 – A
Lansing, Michigan School District millage proposition failed when the
final recount produced a tie vote 5,147 for, and 5,147 against.
On the original vote count, votes against the proposition were ten
more than those in favor. The result meant that the school
district had to reduce its budget by $2.5 million.
In 1994 – 1.1 votes per precinct in
Alaska elected Tony Knowles as Governor and Fran Ulmer as Lt. Governor
out of 216,668 votes cast in the General Election.

            In 1994 – Republican
Randall Luthi and Independent Larry Call tied for a seat in the
Wyoming House of Representatives from the Jackson Hole area with 1,941
votes each. A recount produced the same result. Mr. Luthi
was finally declared the winner when, in a drawing before the State
Canvassing Board, a pingpong ball bearing his name was pulled from the
cowboy hat of Democratic Governor Mike Sullivan.

            In 1997 – Vermont
State representative Sydney Nixon was seated as an apparent one vote
winner, 570 to 569. Mr. Nixon resigned when the State
House determined, after a recount, that he had actually lost to his
opponent Robert Emond 572 to 571.

            In 1997 – Dakota
Democrat John McIntyre led Republican Hal Wick 4,195 to 4,191 for the
second seat in Legislative District 12 on election night. A
subsequent recount showed Wick the winner at 4,192 to 4,191. The
State Supreme Court however, ruled that one ballot counted for Wick
was invalid due to an overvote. This left the race a tie.
After hearing arguments from both sides, the State Legislature voted
to seat Wick 46 to 20.
            In 2000 –
The Presidential election was decided by an extremely narrow margin.
George W. Bush won the state of Florida by just 537 votes, making him
the next President of the United States. Close to 6 million voters
went to the polls in Florida. It might not have been by one vote,
            but certainly every vote counted.

In 2002 – In Nevada, Republican Dolores “Dee” Honeycutt and Democrat
R.J. Gillum, who tied 107-107 for an open seat on the Esmeralda County
Commission, each pulled a jack, but Gillum’s spade beat Honeycutt’s
            diamond.

            In 2006 – Connecticut’s 2nd U.S. Congressional seat was won by Joe
Courtney with 121,252 votes to Rob Simmons’ 121,158; a difference of only
            94 votes.

In 2008 – Stockton, California: The Stockton Unified School Trustee Area
No. 3 seat was won by one vote. Jose Morales received 2,302 votes while
            Anthony Silva received 2,301.
            In 2008 –
Minnesota voters cast 2.9 million votes in their US Senate race that
eventually was decided by 312 votes (1/1000th of one %)

In 2010 – In Nevada, ties happen more
often than might be thought in counties with smaller populations. By
statute, candidates ‘draw lots’ to determine a winner. Decks of cards
are predominately used, with aces high and jokers removed. Suits
can also be ranked and even unopened decks can be randomly chosen. The Douglas
County Kingsbury GID contest resulted in a tie for the third board seat,
            with
Natalie Yanish and Robert McDowell both receiving 373 votes. Yanish
won the seat in a card draw by drawing an ace.

            >> The Eureka
County Clerk-Treasurer contest wound up in a 374-374 tie.
Incumbent Jackie Berg drew an eight of hearts which prevailed when
challenger Carri Wright drew the three of hearts.

            >> In Nye County,
            the
Primary contest for County Commissioner District IV was determined by a
queen of clubs after a dead heat occurred with
both Butch Borasky and Carl Moore receiving 381 votes.

            >> In the Lincoln
County Primary, the District Attorney race was decided by only 3 votes.

            In 2012:

            >> The Minnesota House District 8B race showed a single vote difference
on election night with Mary Franson leading Bob Cunniff 10,652 votes to
10,651. And in southern Minnesota, incumbent Bronsdale Mayor David Pike
is also leading his challenger, Jeff Foster by a single vote, 130 to
            129.

            >> In Concord, New Hampshire – by
choosing not to cast a vote, House Speaker William O’Brien allowed a
bill to be passed that would decriminalize possession of up to a
half-ounce of marijuana. The bill, HB 1526 cleared the House by a
            162-161 vote.
            >> In Walton, Kentucky, the race for a Walton City Council seat wound up
in a tie when candidate Bobby McDonald didn’t want to wake his wife to
vote as she works late at a hospital and is finishing nurse’s training
in college. “You never think it will come down to one vote, but I’m here
to tell you that it does”, he said. The winner will be decided by
            a coin toss.

            >> The Wyoming District 35 House
seat was won after a recount by Kendell Kroeker with 3 more votes than
            Patrick Bishop, 747 to 744.
Still say one vote in a voter fraud is nothing to worry about?

Oh and BTW, your picture of George Michael as your avatar clearly says a lot about you.

          • You’re a complete MONON!!! (a) The avatar is walter white from breaking bad. (b) Don’t confuse the EC with the popular vote. Voter ID laws have NOTHING to do with stopping the non existing problem if inperson voter fraud. They are ALL about voter suppression. Let me ask you this. If you were convinced that inperson voting fraud accounted for 1 vote in every 25 million votes or 0.0000003% of the vote & the solution to end this problem (voter ID) would disenfranchise 20 million eligible voters or 10% of the vote would you STILL support them? If so, you’re a racist piece of garbage!

          • And you are a troll. You have to take two different posts to say what you could have spewed out showing your ignorance yet again? And oh really on your avatar? My my, I guess that George Michael is now in film? Sure he is. I mean its ok if you want to use him as your avatar.

And as I said, you have been shown to be a liar in the link I posted, you have been proved a liar with the examples I posted so all your huff and bluff is not doing you any good as people already consider you a moron and a liar in this thread and others, all you have to do is read the posts back to you from other posters. Your reputation is lower then snail shite and you just keep pushing it further down the line.

          • Another self loathing conservative Christian obsessed with gay sex. Crawl back into your closet & listen to your wham CD’s. FYO, my avatar has NOTHING to do with your idol George Michael!

          • Right…..you really should not be ashamed of having a gay guy as your avatar, at least it points us in the direction of how you think.

And I am not obsessed, at least I dont have it as my avatar like you do. What a noob!

          • You call someone racist garbage regarding in-person vote fraud? Every poll or precinct worker I’ve heard about who got busted for voting multiple times in the last presidential election was African American. In multiple AA precincts in Cleveland and Philadelphia Obama received 100% of the vote. There were other AA precincts that had more Obama votes than they had registered voters. And you bring race into the discussion? If you were any kind of decent American, no matter what your party affiliation or color, you would advocate for fair and honest elections. Everyone should have an ID, to even imply that African Americans are not smart enough or even capable of getting a valid ID is racist and discredits our African American population. So, who is really the racist?

          • You’re problem is you read right wing blogs. There is not a single shred of evidence that enperson voting fraud exists 1 vote in ever 20+ million votes. Nobody is suggesting anyone isn’t smart enough to get a voter ID but the fact is 10% of the voters (for various reasons lack ID) it’s just an unreasonable burden (like a poll tax) to suppress minority votes.

          • So if it wasnt George Michael, then WHY did you change it? Now we know it WAS your buddy George Michael….maybe he and you can share a mens room together.

          • Funny how the racist LABobe invokes the bible in one sentence, trying to defend his stance, then discounts it in the next sentence. And the racist LABode wants to talk about hypocrisy?

          • Your obvious disdain for Christians and the bible leads to only one conclusion, you hate God. You don’t have to defend your hatred to me. You have no effect on anything I do. You’re racism and hatred of God and Christians only effects you.

          • I have no more distain for jesus than I do for the easter bunny, santa claus or the tooth fairy & I don’t hate Christians I just feel sorry for adults that believe in fairytales.

          • So making vile comments about Christians is your way of feeling sorry for them? Interesting logic you have there. Do you feel sorry for starving children around the world? Do you react to them in the same way? Like I said, you don’t need to defend your hatred to me. It’s obvious and indefensible.

          • Vile comments??? Of course I feel sorry for starving children around the world but what I cannot understand is how you could believe that a god which is suppose to be omnipotent, omniscient, and omnibenevolent would allow children to starve in the first place!

          • It’s not God that allows it, it’s you. What have you done lately is the question. Other than showing your hatred towards people of faith, you’ve done nothing. You contribute nothing but hatred to society. I’m really sorry that there are people like you, but evil dwells in the hearts of men. You are the perfect example.

          • Wait a minute…IF God is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnibenevolent then
An omnibenevolent being would want to prevent all evils.
An omniscient being knows every way in which evils can come into existence.
An omnipotent being has the power to prevent that evil from coming into existence.
A being who knows every way in which an evil can come into existence, who is able to prevent that evil from coming into existence, and who wants to do so, would prevent the existence of that evil.
If there exists an omnipotent, omniscient, and omnibenevolent God, then no evil exists.
            Evil exists (logical contradiction)

          • I quite literally can’t believe how much time you spend arguing every day. I feel sorry for anyone who has so little going on in life they can spend so much time “debating”. I am willing to bet though that you believe the big bang, time, matter, order and organization, abiogenesis and by extension all life sprung forth from NOTHING. Uncaused, undirected and purposeless… That welfare helps people, that abortion is good, that Republicans are “racist: when the emocrats founded the KKK to fight them etc etc

Now, who believes in fairy tales? http://www.kjv-truth-ministries.org

          • I don’t hate the idea of god. In fact the flying spaghetti monster is one god I find appealing with it’s heaven of beer volcanos & stripper factories. I just don’t believe it.

          • OK, so not believing in God makes it ok to spew vile comments at people who do? Please stop trying to defend your hatred. You contradict yourself with every vile, hate filled racist comment you make.

          • If you believed that Kansas was on the west coast & I pointed out to you that you were wrong would you say I hated geography?

          • 87% of the people in this country disagree with you. You “assume” we are wrong and you are right.

          • So? It wasn’t long ago that everyone thought the world was flat. Science is the record of dead religions.

          • I suppose your comment about “not cumming” in someones mouth was because you felt sorry for them?

          • Spent some time looking at your past comments on many different topics. I can’t seem to find any where you show ANY disdain for Muslims that kill and torture gays, that mutilate a women’s clitoris, that stone women for showing their face in public, who don’t allow women to go to school and strap bombs to children. So I can only conclude that it’s just the Christian God you hate, not the Muslims version.

          • For one thing Jews, Christians & Muslims ALL worship the same god of Abraham. Jews & Muslims just reject that jesus was god (because they are monotheistic) although somehow (around 325 AD) Christians decided that you could have 3 gods in one. But to answer your question I have a great deal of disdain for Islam & see it as a pox on the world. I just happen to live in a country where Islam isn’t much a threat but Christianity is.

          • It doesn’t read my comment above and I recommend to you the same challenge if your sincere you will if your just a GOD hater and hate those who believe you won’t and if no reply I rest my case.

          • No HE did say that but go and read the book of Psalms 22 and you will read the exact words but they are Davids there are no contridictions in GODS WORD but IF you don’t rightly divide and read line on line and precept on precept you will be mislead and that is why you lose credibility with me go and read it the whole chapter to know the subject matter then come back and let me know if you still say what you say.My challenge to you.

          • I LOVE your avatar!! “hobby lobby” the KINGS of hypocrisy!!! The obvious problems with quoting from the gospels is this. We don’t have an original copy of ANY of them & the oldest copies are ALL different so we have NO IDEA what the originals even said!!!

          • Not at all. But the “My God, My God, why have you forsaken Me?” comment was NOT the last one He uttered. You want to use Scripture, . . . so . . . go on to the 50th verse and what does it tell you?

Matthew 27:50 – And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.

Matthew doesn’t record what He said, just that He yielded up His spirit. Luke is the disciple that gives us those final words. So, again, asking me if I am calling Matthew a liar, is a clear indication of your lack of Bible knowledge.

          • If you studied the bible you would know He was quoting David from the book of Psalms.Jesus never called HIS FATHER GOD He was teaching from the cross. Those words were spoken by David a 1000 years before the fact right down to the Roman soldiers gambling for His robe.Need to read chapter and verse to know the subject matter. They also put the words above Him King of the Jews He wasn’t He is King of ISRAEL.Cherry picking doesn’t do anything but show an agenda to mock GOD and JESUS but go ahead we will all find out on judgement day and we all get what is coming to each of us all at one time Good,Bad or otherwise.

          • threating an atheist with hell is like threating an adult that santa won’t bring them Xmas presents.

    • Amen.I fall short everyday I repent everynight with prayer GOD knows my heart and knows I will always try my best to do what is pleasing in HIS eyes inspite of my sin HE forgives and shows mercy to me because HE loves me and is a heart knower. You can’t con GOD so don’t even try HE knows our thoughts before we even think them satan nor man can do that and I’m thankful only HE can and is always fair and IF HE didn’t chastize me I’d be lost so when HE does I know HE LOVES ME AS ANY LOVING PARENT WOULD DO WITH THEIR OWN CHILDREN.

      • Speaking of people falling short what about Hobby lobby????? They invest in & profit from the very pill they claim is against their religious beliefs to provide in their employees insurance plan!!!!

  3. This guy is a man, not a saint which only means he is not perfect and neither is Obama, Nancy, Harry, Chuck, Barbara, Dianne, Charles, etc. – however, that doesn’t mean that they aren’t supposed to be better than most since they are elected public servants (oh, right, we are the servants not them)!! You would think that they would understand that they are always under the scrutiny of the media and the public and the ever present cameras!!! But then they prove that they are only human over and over again when they think with body parts other than their brains!!! Forgiven, maybe – fired, definitely!! No wonder America is in such dire straits when our elected officials can’t be true to their jobs and their family!!

  4. I would not be surprised if this was not a set-up. Never the less, unless that can be easily proven … we need a new Representative in his place.
Chances are, if he truly repents, has the family’s understanding and acceptance of his request for forgiveness and remains, he could become one of the finest Representatives in Washington.

      • Don’t feel so high and mighty:
        Romans 3:23

I’m sure, like everyone else, your closet houses some skeletons.

        • when a “pro faith” “pro family” candidate (Vance McAllister) runs on “Christian values” & runs a series of ads emphasizing his family and his 16-year marriage to win a special election & as soon as he gets to Washington he has an adulteress affair with a staffer only Christians fail to see the hypocrisy

          • If you would take a moment you will see I’m not disputing what you are saying.

All I’m saying is ‘Matthew 7:1-3’

          • If we’re gonna talk about Matthew let’s talk about Matthew 27:52 & 53 (the night of the living dead). I always wondered why Zombies walking around “the holy city” never made in into the history books or even the other gospels.

          • Matthew 27:52

            ‘And the graves were opened’
Which were near the city of Jerusalem: this was a proof of Christ’s power over death and the grave, by dying; when he through death, destroyed him that had the power of it, and abolished death itself; and became the plague of death and the destruction of the grave, taking into his hands the keys of hell and death:

‘and many bodies of saints which slept, arose:’
not that they arose at the time of Christ’s death: the graves were opened then, when the earth quaked, and the rocks were rent; but the bodies of the saints did not arise, till after Christ was risen, as appears from the following verse; but because the other event now happened, they are both recorded here: these were saints, and such as slept in Jesus; and of whom he is the first fruits that now rose; and not all, but many of them, as pledges of the future resurrection, and for the confirmation of Christ’s, and the accomplishment of a prophecy in (Isaiah 26:19) . And they rose in the same bodies in which they before lived, otherwise they could not be called their bodies, or known by those to whom they appeared: but who they were is not to be known; some have thought them to be the ancient patriarchs, as Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob In the Septuagint on (Job 42:17) , Job is said to be one of them, and a tradition is there recorded, which runs thus:

“it is written, that he rose with whom the Lord rose.”

But it should seem rather, that they were some later saints, such as Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist, John the Baptist himself, good old Simeon, Joseph the husband of Mary, and others, well known to persons now alive. Some think they were such, as had been martyrs in the cause of religion; and so the Persic version renders the words, “and the bodies of many saints who suffered martyrdom, rose out of the graves”.

            Matthew 27:53
‘And came out of the graves after his resurrection’
The resurrection of Christ; for he rose as the first fruits, as the first begotten of the dead, and the firstborn from the dead; for he was the first that was raised to an immortal life; for though others were raised before him, by himself, and in the times of the prophets, yet to a mortal life; but these saints came forth to the resurrection of life, and therefore it was necessary that Christ first fruits, should rise first. The Arabic version indeed reads, “after their own resurrection”; and the Ethiopic version, “after they were raised”:

‘and went into the holy city;’
the city of Jerusalem, which though now a very wicked city, was so called, because of the temple, and the worship of God, and his residence in it: the burying places of the Jews were without the city, and therefore these risen saints, are said to go into it:

            ‘and appeared unto many;’
of their friends and acquaintance, who had personally known them, and conversed with them in their lifetime. These saints, I apprehend, continued on earth until our Lord’s ascension, and then joining the retinue of angels, went triumphantly with him to heaven, as trophies of his victory over sin, Satan, death, and the grave.

          • MY favorite verse in the NT!!! Forget about the fact that none of the other gospels mention this bizarre event nor did ANYONE bother to write a word about it in history. The earthquake that tore the temple curtain went unnoticed by the two temple priests who’s ONLY job was to watch the temple curtain. The BEST part of this is the ZOMBIES!!!! The Zombies Matthew refers to as being raised were raised when Jesus died, and not after his resurrection, so they could not have been raised to everlasting life. One can only imagine the horror to the Jews living in Jerusalem when they seen the decomposed bodies of their saints walking around town. You gotta wonder where they went.

  5. When it’s a Republican it gets a lot of attention, probably because it is unusual.
When it’s a Democrat, just move on….nothing unusual there

    • Fortunately for Christians hypocrisy isn’t a crime or we couldn’t build prisons fast enough to house them all in!!!

        • He is a Christian. but I would have to say the more conservative a Christian the more of a hypocrite they become.

          • It’s based upon some champions of conservative values like Pastor Ted Haggard, Pastor Eddie Long, Larry Craig, Mark Foley, Robert Allan & a host of other conservative Christians leading the anti-gay parade that are in fact homosexuals!

  6. In what sense is this man “pro faith” or “pro family?” Do you mean that he SAYS he is pro faith and family?

  7. So according to the left tards running on a platform of imorality is justified because there’s no hypocrisy. that’s called raising the bar somehow?

  8. All men (women included) sin. There are none righteous; no not one. It’s what you do AFTER you sin before GOD is what matters. Do you repent because you mean it? Or, are you repenting because you got caught? “What is the meaning of is?” To quote “Slick Willie.”

    • Christianity first creates a problem (sin) and then offers a solution” (salvation). This is not unlike the protection racket you either buy “protection” or else!

      • Granted, it is easy to dismiss, but I would rather believe and be right, than not and be wrong. Get right, or get left.

      • Bob you’re not to bright. Sin wasn’t “created” by Christianity. Disobedience to GODS Laws is sin. Knowledge of the Law was given to us by Moses. Sin was given to all men by Adam. Even if you aren’t Jewish or Christian that has nothing to do with sin. Heathen (non-believers) in the jungles of the Amazon or Africa or Indonesia rape, rob and kil1 each other. Thee children and two toys and you have a war. Communists still do the same in modern China. One’s faith or lack thereof has nothing to do with sin. It’s an inherited heart condition. Ever stole “anything at anytime?” Ever lusted sexually after another person? Ever hated or was angry at someone? Ever wanted something that belonged to someone else? Ever take GODS name in vain. Cursing when you struck your finger with a hammer (assuming you know what a hammer is and how to use one). Someone cut you off in traffic and you told him where to go? These are examples of sin. You too have committed sin(s) against GOD. GOD will be your judge. But GOD loves you and provided a way for you to escape his judgment that is called Salvation. Interested in salvation or paying for your sins yourself?

        • So, ALL of mankind up to the point of Moses coming down the mountain didn’t realize it was wrong to kill, rape or steal??? When it comes to raping, robbing & killing Christians are 2nd to NOBODY! How do you argue with people who sincerely believe in heavenly spirits, in angels, abracadabra and bodily ascension, adults who seriously think that some 2000 year old incomprehensive anonymous and occult writings from the Middle East should guide our life’s today?

          • I’m not going to have a “battle of wits” with an unarmed person and waste my time. I’ve read many of your entries. You just love being combative. You are not in search of the truth. You will die in your sins and be cast into the lake of fire. Stay frosty.

          • If you keep threating me with hell I’m gonna tell santa not to bring you any Christmas presents!

          • I’m NOT threatening you with anything. I’m not the judge of your soul. However, the ancient teachings that you’re making fun of state clearly that is where you will end up. Take it up with GOD.
You’ve sinned will you stand condemned on judgment day?
Or are you Forgiven by accepting the LORD JESUS CHRIST? “YOU” decide your fate. NOT ME.
            x
            Grow up. Santa don’t exist.
            But GOD DOES.

          • “Either does Jesus!” ?
            x
I guess you’re trying to convey that since I’m not the judge of your soul that “Neither” is Jesus. YOU denying that; does not make it so. Rejection of GODS salvation for you is NOT a JOKE. But you’re entitled to condemn yourself.
            x
Don’t bother replying. I will not respond.

          • Anyone that believes Jesus actually walked the earth must do so in spite of the evidence not because of it.

  9. He has admitted wrong doing and asked for forgiveness. Now he needs to put his wife and children first and resign and work on resolving his issues. That would be the manly thing to do.
