In a shocking undercover video taken for the Center for Medical Progress, a medical representative for Planned Parenthood seems to talk nonchalantly (perhaps even enthusiastically) about harvesting and selling aborted baby parts:
The video is the first by The Center for Medical Progress in its “Human Capital” series, a nearly 3-year-long investigative journalism study of Planned Parenthood’s illegal trafficking of aborted fetal parts. Project Lead David Daleiden notes: “Planned Parenthood’s criminal conspiracy to make money off of aborted baby parts reaches to the very highest levels of their organization. Elected officials must listen to the public outcry for Planned Parenthood to be held accountable to the law and for our tax dollars to stop underwriting this barbaric abortion business.”
The video is quite damning, but of course, Planned Parenthood has released a statement of its own contradicting Daleiden’s claims:
In health care, patients sometimes want to donate tissue to scientific research that can help lead to medical breakthroughs, such as treatments and cures for serious diseases. Women at Planned Parenthood who have abortions are no different. At several of our health centers, we help patients who want to donate tissue for scientific research, and we do this just like every other high-quality health care provider does—with full, appropriate consent from patients and under the highest ethical and legal standards. There is no financial benefit for tissue donation for either the patient or for Planned Parenthood. In some instances, actual costs, such as the cost to transport tissue to leading research centers, are reimbursed, which is standard across the medical field.
Wait. What? It’s standard medical practice to sell aborted baby parts? No. It might be standard medical practice to harvest certain organs from people who have already died. It’s not standard medical practice to kill people and then harvest their organs. And selling human body parts, whether from aborted babies or dead adults, is illegal.
Of course, there’s no way to determine with any absolute certainty what is going on, and how illegal it is. Planned Parenthood already operates far outside the bounds of morality, and they are just on the edge of legality. It’s hilarious to me that Planned Parenthood should think their statement absolves them, just because they insert the words “lifesaving,” “breakthroughs,” and “cures.” The fact is that they admitted that they are killing unborn babies, careful not to destroy valuable body parts, so that the human body parts of the babies they just murdered can be sent out for medical research. And they receive reimbursement for this “work.” In other words, they get paid to kill unborn babies and harvest their body parts.
Do you really need to hear any more information to be sure Planned Parenthood is an evil organization?
