“Educational” Sex-Ed Poster Lists Sex Acts for Middle Schoolers

A hopelessly naïve Kansas father is outraged over an “educational” sex-ed poster that his middle-school daughter was exposed to at her local public school. The father first believed that the poster was a prank perpetrated by students, so he called the school to complain.

The school explained that the poster was actually not a prank. It was part of their middle school sex-ed “abstinence-based” curriculum. And it met federal standards. The father was outraged. Apparently, this man has been hiding under a rock for the last twenty years. The poster was titled, “How Do People Express Their Sexual Feelings?” Included in the list was oral sex, anal sex, cuddling on the couch, and saying “I like you.” Because these things clearly belong on the same list directed to pre-teens.

As should be obvious, I find the man’s outrage ridiculous. This has been the direction of public school sex-ed classes from the outset. There really should be absolutely no question about this. For years, the scions of educational enlightenment have been recommending absolute sexual exploration among young people without any condemnation or judgment. Guilt is a byproduct of repression, they say, so we must do away with all repression by advocating absolute sexual license. The younger the child, the better, they say.

This institutionalized debauchery has had consequences. How could it not? Teen pregnancy rates have been rising, which has fueled the abortion problem. And our children are dabbling in things I didn’t even know about in my youth. Hardcore pornography and drug addiction, orgies, and rapes, used to be the plague of the seedier Tenderloin districts of the dirtiest and most desperate inner cities. Now they are in our middle schools. And a hyper-sexualized population of youths makes incest and pedophilia a much thornier problem as well.

If you think all this has nothing to do with the crazed perverts we have designated as our children’s wards, you are crazy. We are reaping what we have sown. It was time to pull our kids out of public schools one hundred years ago. How much more will people take?

    • After quick google search I saw several reports saying teen pregnancy is down since 1990. However, I did not see any reports going back further… say to the 50’s or 60’s. So, maybe down in current years, but I say the reports are incomplete. The 90’s may have been the peak point of teenage pregnancy, therefore saying it is down could be misleading.

That being said, I do have to agree that the poster does not sound very moral… There is a difference between teaching and encouraging.

    • Bob uses “pregnancy” or lack thereof as a “moral marker of approval” .

His comment demonstrates a liberal train of thought. Flawed and dishonest at it’s base, there is no redeeming properties to be found within the head of any given liberal.

Bob’s father recently told me Bob failed “Goldfish Tending 101” . . . next semester he is going to attempt “Bubble Gum Machine Refilling” – – – – Bright future ahead of him, no?

      • You are correct. I don’t waste my time with barbie, so , if you like you can throw this at IT!

Ross Douthat on teen pregnancy rates in blue states and red states:

If liberal social policies really led inexorably to fewer unplanned pregnancies and thus fewer abortions, you would expect “blue” regions of the country to have lower teen pregnancy rates and fewer abortions per capita than demographically similar “red” regions.

But that isn’t what the data show. Instead, abortion rates are frequently higher in more liberal states, where access is often largely unrestricted, than in more conservative states, which are more likely to have parental consent laws, waiting periods, and so on. “Safe, legal and rare” is a nice slogan, but liberal policies don’t always seem to deliver the “rare” part.

What’s more, another Guttmacher Institute study suggests that liberal states don’t necessarily do better than conservative ones at preventing teenagers from getting pregnant in the first place. Instead, the lower teenage birth rates in many blue states are mostly just a consequence of (again) their higher abortion rates. Liberal California, for instance, has a higher teen pregnancy rate than socially conservative Alabama; the Californian teenage birth rate is only lower because the Californian abortion rate is more than twice as high.

Are abortion rates lower in states that make it really hard to get an abortion? Of course. I’m not really clear on what, if anything, this is supposed to prove.

As for California and Alabama, that’s mostly just a clever bit of cherry picking. The table below is reconstructed from Guttmacher Institute data, and it gives a better sense of the big picture. Douthat is right that there’s not a sharp red-blue divide between states with the highest and lowest teen pregnancy rates. Still, the top 10 is pretty heavily dominated by red states and the bottom 10 is pretty heavily dominated by blue states. I think it’s probably unwise to pretend that there are simple lessons to be derived from this, but at the same time it’s deceptive to pretend that the divide isn’t there. There really is a difference, and it’s likely that social values play a role in it.

        • Nice info, and TYVM.
Another point (which I might have missed?) is that the lib states push for early use of birth control interventions – including abortions. That would naturally lead to lower birth rates and does not indicate a reduction in lifestyle choices. It just serves as another variable you have to consider.
It is difficult to count a baby as birthed if you rip it apart in the mother’s womb.

    • And homosexuality, beastiality and pedofilia are way up in blue states, especially in the Malibu, California area.

  1. Who gets to decide what our children are subjected to? They can’t arbitrarily wake up some morning and pick and choose their filthy deeds to be forced on our kids! What about curriculum? We need to be able to scrutinize what social and health information we will allow our kids on a family to family basis!

  2. Does the school system really think it is necessary to be pushing a list of sex acts on middle schoolers?? Don’t they have anything better to teach those young students?? No wonder there are so many perverts in the world – they are being taught and enticed at such a young age!!! What happened to allowing kids to be kids??

    • Do you Think unionized indoctrinators are going to teach civics, the US Constitution, history, English, math, science? No the goal is to imbue their passionate Feelings! At least your spawn will know how to apply a Government provided Condom, many ways to get an abortion, the multitude of possible “genders” and how to Fornicate with all of them in a grand orgy. They hill be filled with contempt for You and me, and our nation’s history. At least they will be able to get a $22.50 an hour “Minimum Wage” job at a vegan tofu fast food place for 20 hours a week, when they are not at their local OWS!

    • If the teachers create a rule , and then one is caught actually carrying it out on a student, it becomes defensible.
THAT..is probably what they are thinking of. Sack all school administrators to start with.

  3. Michael, isn’t it a bit hypocritical to condemn the debauchery of the public school system when your article is found on a site that contributes to the same with its sexually provocative ads?

“…they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.” (Jeremiah 23:14)

    • I think there is the implied given of sarcasm and satire. Frank Camp does it sometimes too. And sometimes people don’t get the joke, and the editor makes them include a disclaimer saying it was all satire and sarcasm. This one just doesn’t seem to have one.

        • I’m sorry, I misread your post. My apologies. As for the ads, I don’t really see any that are provocative. And I don’t think he has much choice. It’s really on any sight these days that are truly religious based.

          • This is site and related sites are allegedly owned by Christians who do not have to accept these ads, nor do those who submit articles have to agree to do so as long as such advertisements are used.

In addition to Jeremiah 23:14, I think the following might also be appropriate:

“But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” (Matthew 18:6)

          • Ok, granted, did not know that. However, and this is coming from someone as Christian as I can be, I still don’t see the provocative-ness you speak of.

      • The ads change/rotate, so it depends upon when you are on the site. For example, right now, there’s nothing offensive to point out. However, come back and eventually you’ll see what I’m referring to. Anyone with any Christian morals at all, hopefully, won’t need my assistance in discerning what I’m referring to.

  4. Oh, oh, I know, I know. There’s a contest going on to find out who or what agency can be the most irrational. Now I get it!!!!!!

  5. I’m glad my kids are grown. Kids these days can look up full blown sex for free over the internet. But just in case they missed it, our schools will help fill in the blanks. Our tax dollars at work.

  6. Everyone on the School Board, everyone in the Administration and every dam teacher should be fired and banned from ever teaching or working
in a school again. They are nothing but Pedophiles hiding in educational
clothing. No wonder we have so many cases of school personal having sex with
their students. It would only take a couple of towns to do this and then see that i makes the news media and this crap would end.

  7. This inflammatory, disingenuous piece by Minkoff is another good example of the divisive rhetoric used by those who wish to arouse the worst of our human nature- fanning the flames of anger, outrage, and hate to mobilize a gullible populous to action against their target (See: “The Integration of Theory and Practice” manifesto by Weyrich and Heubeck), in this case, it’s public education.

Based on the title, I expected these middle school perpetrators (teachers) to have posted a graphic pictorial display capturing each and every act of sexual expression on the continuum beginning with just being together, to hand-holding, all the way through to the acts of sexual intercourse on display in highly pixelated images for all to see!

The disingenuous attack on this teacher, caught in a catch 22 of “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” when it comes to sexuality education, is to cherry pick, and take a pot shot at a sitting duck! Minkoff does, to his credit, mention that the school has an “abstinence based” curriculum, meaning that they are using one of the myriad of abstinence-based programs for sale in the private sector, many created by Christian foundations, for use in public schools that actually give credence to the fact that 14 year olds are having sex today.

In a school district in our county, an 8th grade girl, hidden from view, was giving oral sex to a couple of boys under a work-table while the teacher was busy testing the validity of a student’s science project at the front of the class. He was fired! In another community in our rural, conservative county, middle school kids have a game they call “the rainbow.” The objective of the game is to see which girl’s lipstick color leaves a mark the furthest down a boy’s penis- she’s the winner. One occasion, there are reports of HS teens having sex under the stairwell. Public schools have the unpleasant job of addressing today’s health trends, and not stick their head in the sand, but come up with appropriate and tasteful ways to address unhealthy behaviors as well as uphold a standard for healthy behaviors as a smart, rewarding alternative to the debauchery.

Teen pregnancy rates are falling: http://www.hhs.gov/ash/oah/adolescent-health-topics/reproductive-health/teen-pregnancy/trends.html#.Uthygk2A3cs

It would be more accurate to depict today’s teachers who are challenged with the task of combating the morays of a vulgar culture that glorifies rappers who flaunt disgusting, derogatory lyrics perfectly out loud, leaving nothing to the imagination, as a type of rescue team dragging victims of the churning “flood” to safety, absent the power to march upstream and give battle to the forces in our free society that causes them to fall in…

  8. I THINK THIS IS GOOD EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITY AS LONG AS THE TEACHERS SHOW THE ENTIRE ILLUSTRATION IN THE NUDE IN FRONT OF THE STATE EDUCATIONAL CONVENTION. SECONDLY THEY WOULD AGREE TO DO THE PERFORMANCE IN THE NUDE IN FRONT OF THE GATHERING OF ALL PARENTS WHO STUDENT WILL BE TAUGHT THESE SEX ACTS. IF THEY HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE AND INTELLECT NECESSARY TO TEACH YOUR CHILDREN SEX EDUCATION; PARENTS SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEE THOSE TEACHERS PERFORMANCE OF THAT SEX ACT THAT IS SO IMPORTANT TO BE TAUGHT YOUR CHILDREN.

  9. # 1 Coincidence ?

    2. Infiltrate and take control of the mass communication media.

    3. Divide the population into antagonist groups; encourage arguments between them over social issues.

    5. Talk all the time bout democracy and republic, but when the opportunity arises, seize power as a dictator.

    6. Cooperate with the drainage of public funds; discrediting the image of the country, especially overseas, and create panics within the
population through the launching of an inflationary process.

    7. Encourage strikes, even if they are illegal, in the country’s key industries.

    8. Promote riots while conspire to prevent intervention by law enforcement.

Sounds familar, doesn’t it? Just like what’s going on now in the USA, Concerned Yet ?

    • Your love of country has you on HIGH ALERT for signs of socialism and communism, but you turn a blind eye to a PLUTOCRACY that has a stranglehold on America the Beautiful, once the land of opportunity for all. And as the money runs out we will be turning on each other according to our ideology, now realizing who the real enemy is.

Why is the USA broke(n)? For the answer you’d have to go all the way back to the (roaring) 1920’s.

The Great Depression was arguably caused by wealth consolidation at the top, while declining income for the workforce resulted in reduced demand for production and the ensuing snowball effect of unemployment, further demand reduction, and the domino effect of curtailed capital investments, the withdrawal of capital when stock prices fell, and finally the bank runs, and the crash of ’29.

With the lessons of the Great Depression fresh on the minds of our nation and its elected officials, policies were enacted to bolster the middle class. To kick start a recovery, Roosevelt enacted New Deal work programs for the displaced workers like the CCC, CWA, and PWA. Then policies like The Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, The Wagner Act, otherwise known as The National Labor Relations Act, and later, the Employment Act of 1946, were measures enacted to fortify the middle class. The Glass-Steagall Act separated the investment banks from commercial banks, and marginal tax rates were set at 90%. These measures, it was agreed,
were necessary to fortify the middle class (create and sustain a dynamic
consumer market), stabilize the financial sector, and practically assure the
investment of capital back into the USA.

These measures were met with bitter opposition and cries of protest from the business sector and their friends and profit protectors in Congress who claimed they were “unconstitutional,” an “infringement on freedoms,” “socialism,” etc. … Sound familiar?

But look at the results! For the remainder of most of the 20th century, the USA cultivated the world’s premier, most prosperous consumer economy. The cumulative effect of employing millions of high wage workers resulted not only in the clearing of retail shelves (demand), and the uptick in production, but in the filling of local, state, and federal treasuries. To get a tax break, our wealthy INVESTED their vast wealth in the USA.

Together, we were able to achieve the largest expansion in US history, create a “social safety net” (Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, and unemployment compensation), develop the world’s most powerful military, rebuild post WWII Europe and Japan (The Marshall Plan), win the Race to the Moon, AND win the Cold War against the competing Communist system.

During those years of unparalleled Historic USA expansion and investment, we even had a few years when there were budget surpluses (1951, 56, and 57). We also had steady trade surpluses up until around 1975; by then the offshoring of manufacturing jobs (shoe, garment, textile, toys, and electronics) to 3rd world countries to by-pass the high wage US worker began to take its toll. Then, by the end of the millennium, GATT and NAFTA, but in 2001, when China (Avg. wage- $1.36/hr., some
work for 30 cents/hr) joined the WTO (with MFN status), even our jobs in Mexico left for China, and it’s been a steep downhill plunge ever since.
(Incidentally, our burgeoning trade deficits exceeded over Half a Trillion
$$$/yr. by 2004 and have not diminished!)

In my view, our middle class got fat and happy and left the fight for their slice of the American Pie to “someone else,” but in the business sector, their eye never wanders from the bottom line. They continued to probe the fences for weaknesses so they could reclaim their “losses” to US labor.

FTAs Incentivized the jobs exodus to offshore sweatshops and introduced the “global economy” where “multinationals” and “transnationals” continue to monopolize world commerce. The Gramm, Leach, Bliley Act, initiated the deregulation fever that created the lucrative bonus systems on Wall Street and witnessed the “smartest men in the room” behaving badly, then
Citizens United, Super PACs, in our “pay-to-play” legislature we have today… All of these bills advanced the interests of BIG $$$, and the by-pass of the spoiled, fat and complacent US middle class (aka: we the people). And now, after 30 years of favor for our “job creators” (how disingenuous), and the decimation of the middle class, the USA has her tit in a ringer!

Ironically, no sooner had the USA won the Cold War, proving to the world that capitalism, combined with a prosperous middle class was a system that really worked, than capitalists went about proving Karl Marx right about how unchecked capitalism works.

And now, in just 30 years of legislative favor, we’re back to pre-Great Depression conditions where corporatists have managed to garner all of the gains to themselves that they were once required to share. Our Utopian (sophisticated and expensive) society is going broke, and guesses who is making record gains again?

We’ve forgotten the lessons of the past.

      • Matforce; Thanks for the refresher points, although I believe your audience should and hope it to be with the contributors to this post that never had the opportunity to lean this in the first place. “V”

        • Not sure I get your drift (grammar)… You won’t find the theme derived from the historic facts that I selected for my post in the MSM; you have to dig if you want to find it, but it’s there if you look.

      • You sort of forgot about WWII and the McCain-Feingold farce. And let’s just see how Dodd-Frank boosts the economy and gets money flowing again to the small employers.
Yes, the giant banks and other mega-corps intend to own it all; but our capitalism is hardly unchecked.

        • WWII, indeed, cranked up our military-industrial complex, and orders for military issue were flooding our factories, and to be fair, the USA was one of the only industrial powers to escape the need for massive rebuilding after the War. However, as mentioned in my post, the USA committed to the rebuilding of Western Europe, even as the Korean War was heating up.

Coincidentally, our military-industrial complex transferred nicely into the worlds largest producer of quality goods, and when the Korean War effort began, converted easily back into the manufacture of military equipment. Government contracts were once again pouring in, and corporations, their stock holders, CEOs, board of directors, executive teams, etc. stood to make our like bandits. But the Big Bad Government stepped in and judged that their increase was not due to any managerial sagacity, but to a War effort. They pointed to the Employment Act of 1946, and the Wagner Act and decreed that they become team players and their good fortune be shared with their work force; a decree that was met with bitter opposition in the business sector and on Wall Street. Imagine what would happen today to a politician who stood up to Wall Street “fat cats!” They’d cut him to ribbons through purchased sound bites over their media outlets! Just look at what happened to Obama when he uttered those terms “fat cats” out loud- he was finished!

Oh and I forgot to mention; marginal tax rates were lowered to 28% in the 1980s, which neatly coincided with the development of the fledgling global economy. The wealthy are now getting gigantic tax break UP FRONT! No need to invest in the USA anymore to get a break. In fact the best returns are being realized from the “global market.” Thus the conglomeration of interlocking corporations who’ve managed to corner the world’s commerce. BRILLIANT!!!

  10. IF you are still dumb enough to allow your greatest blessing of life to be indoctrinated in government then you will continue to lose the SOULS of that child. lone before home schooling we borrowed the funds necessary to put out jr & hi school children in private Christian schools. CHILDREN ARE WORTH MORE THAN MONEY OR VACTIONS, ETC

  11. What do you do when you can’t reproduce? You recruit! To call this education is like calling pregnancy a disease……but wait, they do!

  12. I think that anyone who does not know this kind of thing has been going on is either too lazy/distracted to be a proper parent, or just doesn’t care. The sad reality is that this ‘style’ of education started in the 1970’s at the collegiate level, and has been ‘introduced’ to successively younger school-aged children since then.
Something else that everyone should be aware of – THEY ARE ALREADY TALKING ABOUT THESE THINGS IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS. People really do need to stop playing with their phones, TVs, etc., and start actually paying ATTENTION to what’s going on.

    • I read something about them wanting to do this in Kindergarten. Funny, the libretards push this on OUR children, then expel 6 year old (Colorado) boy for Kissing a girls hand, no less: http://www.komonews.com/news/national/6-year-old-boy-suspended-for-kissing-a-girl-235230651.html

In another case a student suspended for hugging Teacher: http://edition.cnn.com/2013/12/17/living/parents-student-suspended-sexual-harassment-hugging-teacher/c

First they create the problems, then they blame the Conservatives for it. Then they force their new restrictions (population control agenda) on the behavior they started.

      • Yup, I’m aware of these two situations, and (unfortunately) many more than these. I can’t help but wonder if such a fuss would have been made if it were one boy kissing another boy’s hand? Or two girls? 🙁
Another interesting fact is the aversion most of these elites have for allowing their OWN children to be subject to the same things as other ‘regular’ kids. I don’t hear of many officials’ kids going to public schools, do you?

        • I have a distinct feeling that those private schools, many of which look an awful lot like Ivy League campuses, where students wear uniforms and learn to curtsy and bow upon introduction, would be, how should I say…? disrupted (to put it mildly) should they be forced to admit those inner city kids from the more seedy side of town.

  13. Remember, the only bill passed by our “president” while a senator was a bill for COMPREHENSIVE sex education for KINDERGARTENERS. Maybe where this *** is from….

  14. Here is a letter my friend Bill wrote and shared with me.

    Dear Julie,

It has been over twelve years since you divorced me. When I married you, I thought the man was suppose to adore his wife, protect her, and be the leader of his house. Everything was fine while we dated, you agreed on most of my quilities. After I said I do and the kids were born, things changed. I became a dummy in your eyes, and you decided you could do a better job of raising the kids, and running the household without me because you had a masters degree in child socology and business. I had no choice, then you insisted on a divorced. The court issued the divorce.

When I sat the kids down for twenty minutes while I read from the bible, you said that was cruel treatment cause they were bored to death. When I took our son into my work shop and tried to teach him how to use a hammer and saws, you said that was to dangerous. When our son was 9 yrs old, I bought him a rifle and wanted to take him hunting, but you said no, that he would only learn to kill. Then I asked him to come outside and help me dig and plant the garden, you said no, that that was to hard of work for a boy of that age.

You told me that you wanted your kids to have a better life than you had. I watched you buy them lap tops, video games, cell phones, and four wheelers. You did allow them to wash dishes and dust the house once in awhile. Then they could play and have fun. You taught your daughter how to stand up to a man and be tough. They could come and go without restrictions,or rules, and stay overnight with parents you knew nothing about because you trusted them.

I have some good news to tell you, I got a second job at night with Mac Donalds, and am glad they got the minimum wage raised to $ 15.00 per hour. Now I can make my child support payments, and not get behind. I only have a few more years to go, before I pay my debt.

I can really say I am proud how the both our kids turned out by you raising them. The boy is on national television in Obamacare’s advertisement. He is the one in just jocky shorts, and has a big red ball over his nose. Our daughter is a reporter for MSNBC News, and I congratulater her for getting promoted as vice president to the LBGT rainbow organization.

Thank you for taking over my job, I was suppose to have as a father. Just think, if I would have been allowed to raise the kids, God forbid, they might have matured into pro-life, God fearing patriots.

I am going to cut this short, as I have to go and get registered with Obamacare. Thanks for telling me how great obama care is.

Thanks for changing my outlook on life. Have a very Merry Chritmas, and say hi to the kids for me.

    Your ex,

    Bill

    for our young people today

  16. Lets hear it for the sodomites! IN school, on the streets, at some churches, in politics, in the legislatures, representing us, spreading their vile message to our kids everywhere! Time to detooth the sodomites!~
